I had been looking at homes since the middle of December 2008 and was scared about the process of a home purchase. Would I qualify? How much money would I have to come up with? I met with Sue on a Sunday morning in February 2009 to discuss purchasing a home.
Sue spent hours with me going over the details and all the documents that would be involved in the purchase. Sue showed me the current listings in various price ranges. I was looking for a home in the $150,000 range. Sue and I discussed my “wish list” which was pretty extensive. Three bedrooms, two baths, 3 car garage, pool/Jacuzzi, large living room, indoor laundry and the list went on. We put together a route to go and look at each of the selections. We discussed purchasing an older home over a newer one and the benefits of each. We looked at over 100 homes, then she showed me this one property that was out of my price range, but had everything and more that was on my wish list. This was a newer home with many amenities that I did not even think I would need. Sue explained to me that purchasing a home was a business decision, and that I should not fall in love with any of the properties we looked at, but I did fall for the property that had it all and more, out of price range I thought. Sue assisted me with obtaining a mortgage broker and now, I am the proud home owner of the property that has it all and more. This was due to Sue’s diligence in guiding me thru the home buying process and me making the decision to invest my money wisely.
